Spring Park, Minnesota
Landmark prepared and implemented a Voluntary Response Action Plan and Contingency Plan to clean up this 9-acre property on Lake Minnetonka during construction of two, multi-story retail and residential buildings with underground parking at this waterfront Property.
In addition to the excavation and disposal of contaminated soil on this fast-paced redevelopment project, Landmark designed and oversaw the installation of a vapor mitigation system, which prevents migration of vapors from contaminated groundwater beneath the property. During construction, Landmark cleaned up several environmental contingencies including the removal of eight underground storage tanks and the design and operation of a groundwater treatment system during construction dewatering. Landmark prepared a successful grant application to Hennepin County’s Environmental Response Fund, which paid for the vapor mitigation system.
