Landmark is a Bloomington woman-owned environmental consulting firm. Landmark was established in 2000 by six members and has grown to nearly 20 full-time employees. Our team includes experienced civil, environmental, and geological engineers, hydrogeologists, geologists and environmental scientists.
Landmark is offering a scholarship for a Kennedy High School senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Eligible applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and provide a minimum of a one-page essay about one of the questions/topics below. The scholarship offered by Landmark is for $1,000 and payable during the first year of college. Students who are a member of historically unrepresentative groups or a subset population are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
Landmark believes the study of science is the study of everything that exists. It is an investigation into the way the world works and also the way the world does not work. A student pursuing a STEM-type major can be a future leader and possibly a future leader in Bloomington.
Please choose one of the following questions/topics for your essay:
1. Tell us about a time where you demonstrated leadership.
2. Tell us about a time you failed and what you learned from it.
3. Where do you see yourself in five years?
