Cities of Long Lake and Orono
Landmark worked on three separate phases of road design and construction for the CSAH 112 project in Long Lake and Orono. Landmark prepared Phase I Assessments along different sections of the corridor to determine high and medium priority sites. Working with Gale-Tec and Glacial Ridge to combine geotechnical and environmental investigations in areas of potential contamination, Landmark conducted Phase II Investigations to evaluate soil, groundwater and soil vapor before developing a Response Action Plan. As a subcontractor to SRF Consulting Group, Inc., Landmark completed the environmental design for the first phase of construction of this multifaceted road project.
Multiple gas stations and LEAK Sites resulted in significant petroleum impacts along the corridor as well as contingencies including asbestos pipe and treated wood from former bridge pilings and railroad ties. Landmark oversaw construction activities and implemented the Response Action Plan over two phases of construction. Environmental efforts included contaminated soil excavation and disposal, engineering controls for vapor mitigation in utility corridors, and dewatering of petroleum contaminated water. The project highlights Landmark’s teaming capabilities and ability to take projects from start to finish.
